Every morning: a jacket too hot to wear, a scarf wrapped around the face against the sun, something over the hair to survive the helmet — or nothing at all, because the heat won.
By the time we arrived, our necks were burning, our hair was soaked and thinning, our skin was dull — and we had spent the whole ride bracing for a pothole we could not see.
Before the day began, the ride had already won.
Every day we told ourselves the same thing: “This is just how riding is.” Until one morning we asked a different question.
Why should it be?
Why is riding gear designed for weekend adventures, while the people who ride every single day are left with nothing built for urban, daily use? That question became an obsession.
We listened — to commuters, students, parents, delivery riders. The more stories we heard, the more they sounded the same. Because they were our story too.
When we went looking for a solution, there wasn’t one.
